Nice clean affordable place”
this place is very clean and the owners are super nice! It is a bit far from the town but it is close to a shuttle stop, however the free town shuttles stop running after 5PM, so if u are getting dinner in the town, u either have to walk back (20-25 mins depending where you are) or pay 200 yen to take the nozawa onsen liner (one bus an hr and stops at around 7pm). They do offer dinner and breakfast option at the hotel, so that may be more convenient then going to town if you didnt drive yourself.
