Comfortably located just next to Borobudur temple and very helpful staff ”
The hotel is very comfortably located just next to the entrance to Borobudur temple, which is the main reason we selected this hotel. We contacted them before our arrival and inquired about a pick up from Yogyakarta Airport. They were very helpful and even suggested that since we arrived in the morning, to take us with the car to see Prambanan temples and then later to go to the hotel. And this for a small addition fee. Everything worked out wonderful. The driver was very nice and we were able to see Prambanan, taking our time before going to the hotel. The following morning they helped us arrange a sunrise visit to Borobudur. You wake up at 04:30 and they take you with a car to the special sunrise entrance. It is highly recommended as it is a unique experience to see this beautiful temple during sunrise. I highly recommend to stay at a hotel like Watu Agung and not in Yogyakarta. It is a huge advantage to be so close to the temple. The rooms in the hotel were small but still comfortable and the staff very friendly and helpful. I can highly recommend Watu Agung Guest House.

kami pesan 3 room, 2 double room dan 1 triple room. utk kamar double room nya bau.. 1 kamar bau sekali sehingga harus request pewangi dikamar. 1 kamar lagi tdk terlalu bau. utk triple roomnya oke ga da bau sama sekali dan luas. utk makanan, standar biasa aja. utk kebersihan sangat bersih. pelayanan jg ramah, kami bisa early checkin jam 9 pagi 😁 terima kasih watu

About 100m to borobudur, super close, we walked there in the morning. They have indoor restaurant, so dinner is easy. Friendly and polite staff.. cleanliness is great, have all basic facilities. Hairdyer given upon request. The free breakfast given was superb! They took my order for bfast the night before, the next day after borobudur, breakfast is ready and served graciously! It was yummy and great!couldnt ask for more! Thank you!

Very near to Borobudor Temple Exit Gate”
We stayed here for the main reason of sunrise at Borobudor Temple. We were told the sunrise entrance gate is quite far from our guesthouse. However, staff helped us on purchase the ticket and arrange the driver for us. But when we returned, the exit gate is very near to our guesthouse (prox. 5-10 mins walk). Breakfast included, delicious. Actually the guesthouse is walking distance to many restaurants but we were unfortunate to be there during their first day of Raya (muslim festival), all restaurants are closed. We left no choice to eat the street food in front of the exit gate of the temple. Overall, this guesthouse is still worth to stay for a night if you want to go for the Sunrise at Borobudor.

Good hotel for a night’s stay near Borobudur ”
Clean and large room (family room) however I noticed the double rooms were on the smaller side. Very close by the temple and as there really isn’t anything else to visit in the town, a days stay is adequate. Friendly staff, simple breakfast and clean rooms. I will stay here if I’m ever in town again
