Great place.. lovely owner... owner is very nice and accommodating to your needs.. Food was great.. dinner you can request for extra wagyu meat for extra money.. but worth every penny.. Owner will pick up at the station and drop you off at the station .. or can drive to you to see the snow monkey than can meet you up at the train station with ur luggage

Stay here! I was on the fence up until the day of and I’m so happy I didn’t cancel. What a nice place with nice people. I absolutely loved my stay and cannot speak highly enough about how much I enjoyed the say. GET BREAKFAST AND DINNER! But be prepared for the large amount of food. Their cooking is some of the best I’ve had in Japan and I’ve lived here a few years. They will pick you up and drop you off at the station and take you to the snow monkey park. They provide maps so you can explore the town too. The hot spring baths just melt all you troubles away and there is a nice massage chair outside the bath. Please communicate with this couple because they will accommodate and adjust to your needs. If I ever return to the area this is the only place I want to stay. If you are westerners try this place. It is very traditional Japanese but they make it so easy to for you to feel comfortable.

in winter, your room will be nice and toasty bc of the heater provided but the rest of the guesthouse areas will be ice cold (shared bathrooms, hallways, reception area). Hosts are super friendly. If guesthouse is empty, you can use the onsen privately with your partner. If you decide to go for the dinner the guesthouse hosts prepare, please know it's a BIG meal, make sure you go with an appetite, it's no joke!

The Kobayashi's home was charming, at the same the time, the couple was very hospitable. The room was very spacious and homey. They have three onsen facilities, and it was clean and well-maintained. They provide free transfers between the Snow monkey park and Yudanaka station, to their home. The dinner was hands down delicious and was very filling! I will book again soon!

Amazing Japanese Hospitality”
We had an awesome stay at Yudanaka Ysauraji for 3 nights over Christmas . The host and his wife ,Mr n Mrs Kobayashi are amazingly hospitable. Mr Kobayashi communicated over Agoda messenger from the start of reservation so we felt comfortable .He came to meet us at the train station,drove us to Snow Monkey park and brought us to station early am on checkout.Yasuragi is a short walk from the train station. It has 6 Japanese styled room exquisitely decorated with warm details.We were given crisply pressed very pretty yukatas and towels each day. There are 2 onsen and a massage chair and they can be arranged for private use. The food is lovingly prepared each meal ;and the Kaiseiki Dinner that they cooked for dinner was extraordinary. Dish after dish ,beautifully presented ;including grilled prawn,tempura and Japanese beef sukiyaki. Thank you for your amazing hospitality and putting so much heart and effort to prepare the super 'oishi' meal Mr and Mrs Kobayashi.

Plan your travel time and let the owner - Mr Kobayashi know in advance. He can pick you up from Yudanaka station. Ask for the dinner and breakfast in advance - Value for money and good foods. Also don’t forget to enjoy the onsen facilities - couple can enjoy some private time in the onsen facility. MR Kobayashi also offer to drive us to the snow monkey park too. Good facilities, good hospitality, good food and value for money. Will stay in Yudanaka Yasukari again if plan to visit the Snow monkey park in the future.

Our stay here was the most enjoyable part of our trip!”
We were promptly greeted at the train station by Mr. And Mrs. Kobayashi who shuttled us to the monkey park. When we returned to the ryokan, our clothing and shoes were dirty from the trek to/ from the park. They offered to clean our clothes and even cleaned our shoes for us! We had a fabulous 7 course kaiseki dinner that was delicious. Every dish was meticulously prepared. The homemade ume wine was amazing! We were in for another treat at breakfast. The onsen was a perfect way to top off our stay here. The Kobayashis made our stay in Yudanaka extra special.

Große Zimmer mit allem was man braucht. Ein Onsen im Haus und wenn man möchte ein Traditionelles Abendessen und Frühstück. Die Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich und zuvor kommend. Sie halfen uns mit dem Gepäck, führen uns zum snow monkey Park und brachten unser Gepäck pünktlich zum Bahnhof. Nur zu empfehlen
